The Expert Committee on Uniform Civil Code constituted by the Uttarakhand government and chaired by Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai prepared the draft Uniform Civil Code on May 27, 2022, The draft report is scheduled to be submitted to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on May 27, 2022 at 11 am. Justice Ranjana Agnihotri, chairperson of the Uttarakhand UCC committee, arrived in Dehradun on Friday and was accompanied by Ajay Mishra, member secretary of the state UCC committee.

The draft UCC report is scheduled to be tabled in Parliament on February 6 after being approved at a cabinet meeting chaired by the Chief Minister on Saturday.
