AMP’s Chief economist Shane Oliver says the recent wage increase might not be as detrimental as anticipated.
“It’s not as bad as it could have been,” Mr Oliver told Sky News Australia.
“I think if we had a 7 per cent increase, which is what the union movement was after, it would almost certainly mean a rate hike next week.”
