Iran launched a drone towards Israel on Sunday. The attack came nearly two weeks after an airstrike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Syria. Iran blamed Israel for the attack and warned of retaliation.

Hours before the drone strike, Iran seized a cargo ship with ties to Israel near the Strait of Hormuz.

The United States, meanwhile, vowed to support Israel. The United States said it supports Israel and will “support their defense.”
