According to reports, Microsoft may launch the Arm-based Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 at an event in May. The company recently confirmed it will host an event on May 20 via media invitation. The event focuses on the tech giant’s artificial intelligence (AI) vision, and it is said that the company may launch Surface devices powered by Qualcomm’s X-series chipsets during the event. It is worth noting that Microsoft will also host an event on March 21, where it is expected to launch a Surface PC equipped with Intel processors.

according to a Report XDA Developers is expected to launch Arm-based Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6, as well as new user-centric AI features for Microsoft Surface devices. The report also adds that the new Surface products may be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite chipset, making these PCs among the first to feature the new SoC. However, Microsoft has yet to confirm any of these details, with the May 20 event focusing solely on artificial intelligence.

Not much is known about the upcoming Surface device, but some of its key specifications have been leaked. According to reports, the Microsoft Surface Pro 10 may feature a new OLED display that is brighter and has an anti-reflective coating. It is also said to support HDR content. The device may also feature a new webcam with an ultra-wide sensor and a built-in NFC reader. The new webcam will reportedly offer AI Studio Effects. The overall design is likely to remain consistent with its predecessor.

Another product that may launch alongside the Surface Pro 10 is the Surface Laptop 6. According to rumors, it may feature a display with thinner bezels and rounded corners. The laptop is also expected to add a new tactile touchpad, as well as dedicated keys for Copilot AI next to the Windows key.

Notably, Microsoft announced this new key in Windows laptops last year. Apart from this, the Laptop 6 may also come with a new set of ports on the left side, including two USB Type-C ports and one USB Type-A port. There is said to be a magnetic Surface Connect charger on the right side.
