Michael Jackson’s nephew Jafar becomes pop star in first look at biopic

The highly anticipated Michael Jackson biopic has generated excitement since it was announced, and that enthusiasm has reached a fever pitch with the release of the first set photo of Jafar Jackson. Jafar is Michael’s nephew and he brilliantly captures the essence of the King of Pop. The images released reflect iconic moments from the 1992 Dangerous Tour and were originally shot by Kevin Mazur. Mazur, known for his work with Michael throughout his career, has now captured Jafar’s first look in the film. After a two-year casting process, Jafar was finally cast as the lead character. In the photo, Jafar is wearing a classic Michael look, wearing a white button-down shirt, a white V-neck and black pants, with his hair tied back, performing passionately on stage.

Mazur also documented Michael’s last rehearsal, just days before the music legend’s sudden and tragic end at the age of 50.
