Two men wearing hazmat suits chased an innocent man with knives down the street due to mistaken identity.

The man managed to escape from the pair and escaped serious injury in what police called an “audacious attempt to cause significant harm”.
However, during police investigation it emerged that the man was not their intended target.
Collins, of All Saints Road, Scarborough, and Nicholson, of Trafalgar Road, Scarborough, both pleaded guilty to possession of an offensive weapon, assault and attempted kidnapping. Each was jailed for 28 months.
