SrinagarMay 11, KDC): PDP President Mehboba Mufti on Sunday made a emotional appeal to end Salamabad near the Line of Control (LOC) as “Ground Zero Grief and Flexibility”, to end the struggle, to end the struggle, urged India and Pakistan to give peace.
During his visit to the Shell-Better Border Village in Uri, Mufti said that long enmity for decades has destroyed life and stole child. “War, bullets, and shelling have taken away the houses and shattered the innocence of the children. In tin-shaped shelters, the children of Kashmir wait-not to take the enough, not for peace, but for peace,” he said.
He portrayed a serious picture of life on LoC, where he said, “Bombs have changed stories while sleeping and fear continues to steal childhood.”
To reverse this sad reality, Mehboba recalled the cross-location peace and business initiatives that began during the tenure of his father Mufti Mohammad Saeed. He said, “My father turned this war line into a bridge of peace and business. It’s time when we choose houses on the bunkers,” he said.
Appealing for the continuity of ceasefire to become stronger, the former Chief Minister said that it is the responsibility of both India and Pakistan to ensure that citizens of both sides are more afflicted. “End this war. Let’s give peace a real chance,” he urged. (KDC)
