Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have refuted claims from a royal expert that they refused to give King Charles an expensive gift for their son Prince Archie.

talking to mirrorRoyal expert Tom Quinn recently claimed the monarch, 75, had offered the Sussexes’ eldest son, who turned five last week, a gift worth around £18,000.

However, the Montecito couple declined to accept the gift, claiming that the Suits alumnus “wants to associate his birthday with all things American”.

“Charles also suggested he give Archie not a plastic children’s playhouse, but a luxurious hand-built cowboy hut, complete with bunk beds and bookshelves,” she told the outlet.

“He would love to give Archie something similar but knows Meghan and Harry are against it,” Quinn explained.

“Meghan wants Archie to associate his birthday with all things American because Archie is already constantly asking about his royal family in Britain,” the expert said.

According to Ok! magazine, sources close to Harry and Meghan denied that any such incident took place on Archie’s birthday.
