Meghan Markle ditches lifestyle brand amid royal cancer scare

Meghan Markle isn’t taking any chances when it comes to making her latest venture a success.

The Duchess of Sussex may temporarily halt her lifestyle brand American Rivera Orchards to avoid looking “opportunistic,” according to royal commentator Kinsey Schofield.

She originally launched an Instagram account for the brand in March, just days before her estranged sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, announced her cancer diagnosis to the world.

It is predicted that Suit alum will officially launch her brand on April 7, the same day her blog The Tig has shut down.

But, that Daily to Di podcast host tells Daily Express: “Meghan knew that if she acted even remotely opportunistic when the royal family’s cancer loomed large, she would be vilified and it would lead to another very public career failure.”

“Taking a business venture at a time of family heartache may have been the final nail in the Sussexes’ coffin in terms of reputation,” Kinsey explained.
