Meghan Markle’s fears about Prince Harry are getting closer to coming true as the date for his return to the UK approaches.
The Duke of Sussex will visit his home country next month to attend a church service to mark the tenth anniversary of the Invincibles Games.
He is also believed to have asked about members of the royal family, including King Charles and sister-in-law Kate Middleton, who are currently embroiled in their respective cancer battles.
talking OK! magazine, an insider relayed the Duchess’s concerns that her husband would be taken advantage of by members of the royal family if he tried to mend the rift.
“She thinks Harry is too naive and he still can’t trust William,” the source said.
“She was afraid he would be fooled again and William would take advantage of him. She knew she made better decisions than Harry because she wouldn’t let her emotions control her, but she was afraid she would lose control of the situation control,” they explained of the Suits cast.
“It’s not entirely Harry’s fault, but given the circumstances, it was impossible for William to extend an olive branch.
The insider added: “Meghan just doesn’t want to see him get hurt again as it took him years to finally get over the effects.”
