Meredith Mearns, who started working for the Sussexes in March 2025, is believed to be the eleventh publicist to quit the role in five years after the couple quit working as royals in 2020 and moved to California.
Ms Mearns wrote in a statement: “After a year of inspiring work with Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess, sussex and ArchewellI will seek new opportunities in 2026. I have the utmost gratitude and respect for this couple and team and the good they do in the world. “
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have also parted ways with US PR firm Method Communications, seven months after they announced a partnership with the company, which describes itself as a company that “challenges the status quo”.
A spokesman for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said: “Meredith Maine and Method Communications have completed their work with Archewell. The Duke and Duchess thank them for their contribution and wish them all the best.”

Harry and Meghan are reportedly not planning to hire a replacement for Ms Mains, as it is understood Liam Maguire, director of communications for the UK and Europe, will take over.
It comes after Meghan and Harry’s Archewell Charitable Trust (formerly the Archewell Foundation) announced last week that it would be cutting staff as it closes.
