Lucknow:
The BSP on Sunday officially announced the list of candidates for 16 of the 80 seats in the Uttar Pradesh Lok Sabha elections.
Party chiefs in some regions have previously announced district-level candidates.
The Mayawati-led party fielded Majeed Ali from Saharanpur, Shripal Singh from Kairana, Dara Singh Prajapati from Muzaffarnagar , Vijaydra Singh from Bijnor, Surendra Pal Singh from Nagina (SC seat) and Mohammad Irfan Saife from Moradabad.
It is said to have provided tickets from Rampur to Zishan Khan, Shaulat Ali of Sambhal, Mozahid Hussain of Amroha, Devvrat Tyagi of Meerut and Praveen Bansal of Baghpat.
Rajendra Singh Solanki from Gautam Buddha Nagar will be the party candidate, while Girish Chandra Jatav from Bulandshahr (SC seat) will contest, Abid Ali from Aonla, Anis Ahmad Khan alias Phool Babu from Pilibhit and Shahjahanpur Dodaram Verma of SC), it added.
The Lok Sabha polls will be held in seven phases starting from April 19.
