Maruti Suzuki India on Tuesday launched compact Nexa service centers and plans to open 100 such outlets across the country by the end of the next financial year.
Through this strategic move, the auto major aims to bring the Nexa service experience to customers outside urban centers, the company said in a statement.
The first six centers completed are strategically located at Ateli (Haryana), Charkhi Dadri (Haryana), Bankura (West Bengal), Dahod (Gujarat), Nirmal (Telangana) and Ooty ( Tamil Nadu).
Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director and CEO, Maruti Suzuki India (MSI), said, “As consumer preferences in urban and non-urban centers become increasingly similar, interest in our Nexa products has increased significantly in both regions.”
Nearly 30 per cent of Nexa’s sales come from non-urban centres, he added. “To meet the needs of these customers, we launched these compact Nexa service workshops. Our goal is to establish 100 such workshops by the end of fiscal year 2024-25,” Takeuchi noted.
Since the launch of Nexa services in 2017, MSI has expanded its operations to more than 390 service touch points to serve customers nationwide. MSI sells its model range through Arena and Nexa sales outlets. Models such as the Grand Vitara, Invicto and XL6 are sold through the Nexa network, while other models such as the Wagon R, Swift, Dzire and Brezza are retailed through its Arena stores.
