Martial arts are becoming more popular among young people in the Kashmir Valley, the increasing number of participants with regular tournaments and championships have been attracted.
This growing interest suggests that many students now see martial arts not only as a hobby but also as a possible career route.
Many youth are joining martial arts training programs to learn self -defense and improve their physical and mental health. Coaches across the region are using this interest to organize more competitions, helping young athletes to train and give them a chance to perform.
“Sports, especially martial arts, helps students manage stress caused by academic pressure and career aspirations. Parents are now actively encouraged both boys and girls to participate, seeing long-term benefits in terms of discipline, fitness and confidence,” Local Coach Forum Bashir told ANI.
These programs, mostly conducted by local sports associations, give children a chance to train and compete. Many participants are in their early adolescence, and strong reaction has called for more such events in the future.
Young participants have also sought more opportunities to participate in continuous support and martial arts. They believe that regular events and training will help the game grow in the valley.
