A Russian man has revealed that he used OpenAI’s artificial intelligence chatbot ChatGPT to help him find a life partner after he eliminated more than 5,000 matches on dating site Tinder.
A man named Alexander Zhadan shared a post on X claiming he ran a Tinder bot using ChatGPT that matched him with 5,239 girls on the app.
“I proposed to a girl and ChatGPT had been communicating with her for me for a year. To do this, the neural network re-communicated with 5,239 other girls and eliminated them as unnecessary, leaving only one girl . I will share how I made such a system, what the problems were and what happened to other girls,” Zaidan wrote.
He further added that he chose this path to find a partner because “it is very difficult to find someone to love. I want to have time to work, develop hobbies, study, communicate with people. I can take this path on my own, No need for ChatGPT, just longer and more expensive.”
In one post, Zhadan mentioned that ChatGPT sometimes gave him six dates a day. He also stated that he has multiple versions of the ChatGPT bot.
He further mentioned that he took a break after finding his now fiancée Karina. The 23-year-old said the AI bot removed unwanted matches, made “small talk on his behalf”, planned dates and even helped him propose.
He added that he also set up certain filters to show women he could continue to chat with live.
