On Monday, one person died after falling into a borewell in Lovarmunda area of Kajigund in Anantnag district of South Kashmir.
Officials told GNS that a person fell into a borewell while motor fitting. SDRF from Kajigund immediately reached the spot and rescued it in an unconscious state.
He was later transferred to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The deceased has been identified as Damajan, a resident of Kajigund, Mushtaq Ahmed Vage.
Meanwhile, the police have taken cognizance of the incident. (GNS)
