Man beaten to death with wooden stick; teen detained

A 28-year-old man was beaten to death with wooden sticks by some people, including a teenager, in Thane city on Monday, police said.

The victim, Tanaji Shinde, was attacked while chatting with friends in Samta Nagar area in the morning.

Police have registered a murder case and detained a teenager, while two other men are on the run, an official said.

He added that the motive behind the murder was under investigation.
