Mumbai, Oct 28 (IANS) The Maharashtra Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday approved the vision document of Maharashtra-2047 developed and approved the revised cost of over Rs 3000 crore for the new broad gauge railway line Solapur-Tuljapur-Osmanabad.
The Cabinet also approved the formation of Maharashtra Vision Management Unit (VMU) headed by the Chief Minister for the implementation of the vision document.
Fadnavis said the final document would be prepared by seeking opinions and reactions from citizens of the state and analyzing them based on Artificial Intelligence.
The vision document of the developed Maharashtra 2047 sets out around 16 concepts at the state and district level, while 100 initiatives have been finalized under progressive, sustainable, inclusive and good governance.
Fadnavis told reporters that government departments have received responses from around 7 lakh stakeholders, and after that, this document has been prepared.
“The vision document has goals and objectives for 2030, also for 2035, when the state will complete 75 years of its formation and also for 2047, when a developed India is being developed. The roadmap has been prepared, and the Cabinet has approved the plan today. It will be published soon,” he said.
In the advisory committee meeting on October 20, Fadnavis had said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has dreamed of a fully developed India in the centenary year of independence in 2047.
Maharashtra will not lag behind in fulfilling this dream and Maharashtra’s ‘Vision Document’ will definitely prove helpful in this.
Fadnavis said the draft document of Developed Maharashtra is a historical document and should be used while making any plans and policies in future.
He said, “This ‘document’ will enable Maharashtra to compete not with states but with the world. This entire draft should be converted into a video, so that citizens can easily understand it.”
“Agencies should now create a mechanism to accept proposals based on Artificial Intelligence for proposals coming up for approval. If there are deficiencies in the proposal, they should make efforts to remove them in advance on the basis of Artificial Intelligence, which will save considerable time. The department will only have to take action to check the accuracy of the work done by Artificial Intelligence. Urban Development and Revenue Department This action should be completed as soon as possible. LLM (Large Language Model) should be created. Do effective work based on artificial intelligence,” the Chief Minister said.
Besides, Fadnavis said the Cabinet also approved additional funding for the new broad gauge railway line Solapur-Tuljapur-Osmanabad at a revised cost of over Rs 3000 crore and 50 per cent share of the state government.
He said the Center will provide 50 per cent funding to the project, which will be instrumental in increasing connectivity to pilgrimage centers like Solapur and Tuljapur.
Further, to streamline the government’s efforts to attract foreign direct investment to maintain Maharashtra’s primacy, the state Cabinet approved the expansion of the Protocol Sub-Department under the General Administration Department.
Extension of designation of Secretary (Protocol, FDI, Diaspora Affairs and Outreach) was approved.
Further, creation of three new departments, namely Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), International Relations (Outreach) and Diaspora Affairs and requisite posts for these departments were also approved.
The Cabinet also approved making amendments to the Mumbai Municipal Corporation Act, 1888, the Maharashtra Municipal Corporation Act, 1949 and the Maharashtra Municipal Council, Nagar Panchayat and Industrial Towns Act, 1965, to give a time limit of six months to submit caste validity certificates to candidates contesting reserved seats in general or by-elections to these local and civic bodies.
Similarly, the Cabinet approved issuing an ordinance to provide a time limit of one month for submission of caste validity certificate after being selected for reserved seats in general or by-elections of Gram Panchayat, Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti.
The Cabinet also approved setting up of District and Additional Sessions Court and Civil Court Senior Level Court at Shirpur in Dhule district. Apart from this, there will also be a public prosecutor’s office. The posts and expenditure provisions necessary for both these decisions were also approved.
