Bhopal, Nov 22 (IANS) The Madhya Pradesh unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday announced important organizational changes, with Shyam Taylor appointed as the new state president of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) and Ashwini Paranjape as the state president of the BJP Mahila Morcha.
The appointments were made by Madhya Pradesh BJP president Hemant Khandelwal and officially informed through a press release and a post on the party’s X handle.
Shyam Taylor, a young and energetic leader of the party’s youth wing, will replace the previous BJYM state chief. Known for his strong ground presence in western Madhya Pradesh, Taylor has been associated with BJYM for over a decade and has played a key role in the party’s digital campaigns during the 2023 assembly elections.
They are expected to increase reach among voters below 40 years of age ahead of the upcoming local body elections and 2028 assembly elections.
Ashwini Paranjape, a prominent women leader and lawyer by profession, has rich organizational experience. She was an active office-bearer of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) from 2000 to 2014 and later served as a member of its National Executive.
Paranjape, who was a two-time Municipal Corporation councilor from Indore, has been vocal on the issues of women’s safety and empowerment. She takes charge of the Mahila Morcha at a time when the BJP is aggressively promoting women-centric schemes like the Laadli Brahmin scheme, which is widely credited for the party’s landslide victory in 2023.
Political analysts see these appointments as part of the BJP’s strategy to inject new energy into its frontal organizations while maintaining regional and social balance.
Manoranjan Mishra has been appointed in-charge of the Morcha wing and will oversee its various units, while Ashutosh Tiwari has been given the responsibility of managing the party cells.
Jitendra Litoria has been given the charge of protocol duties for the state unit.
Both Shyam Taylor and Ashwini Paranjape expressed gratitude towards the party leadership and pledged to work towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India with special focus on youth skill development and women’s participation in nation building.
The rapid organizational change indicates that the Madhya Pradesh BJP is already preparing for the future electoral battle in the Hindi belt.
