New Delhi, October 24 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday expressed grief over the demise of advertising veteran Piyasu Pandey and remembered his contribution to the world of communication.
The Prime Minister said he would always remember his conversation with Pandey. PM Modi said that his condolences are with Pandey’s fans and family.

Padma Shri awardee Pandey lost the battle due to infection at the age of 70.
Pandey, the executive chairman and worldwide chief creative officer of Ogilvy, was widely considered the architect of modern Indian advertising.
The advertising giant helped coin one of India’s most memorable political slogans, ‘Ab ki baar, Modi Sarkar’. His advertising portfolio includes some of the most memorable advertisements in Indian history, such as ‘Kuch Khaas Hai Zindagi Mein’ for Cadbury Dairy Milk featuring a dancing girl, ‘Har Ghar Kuch Kehta Hai’ for Asian Paints and Vodafone’s lovable ‘Zuzu’ character.
Pandey also spearheaded public service campaigns like the ‘Do Boond Zindagi Ke’ Polio Abhiyaan with Amitabh Bachchan.
His family, his colleagues who became his extended family, and his amazing work that defined the heart and soul of Indian advertising live on.
As the news of Pandey’s demise spread, Union ministers and industry leaders expressed condolences.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal expressed grief over the demise of the advertising giant.
Former Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik called Pandey a “pioneer of Indian advertising”.
Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi also expressed grief and called Pandey “a communication genius” and a “truly inspirational” person.
Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani and Adani Enterprises Director Pranab Adani also condoled the demise of Piyush Pandey.
