Hundreds of people have gathered to remember victims of the coronavirus on the third anniversary of the launch of the Coronavirus Memorial Wall.

The group walked along the wall between Westminster Bridge and Lambeth Bridge on the south bank of the Thames, pausing at each slab to lay flowers, recite a poem and observe a minute’s silence to honor the love and image represented people.

Some members of the group became emotional and hugged each other during the event.

Others carry photos of lost loved ones or wear T-shirts with photos of loved ones on them.

The mural, located opposite the Houses of Parliament, consists of more than 220,000 hand-drawn hearts, which were individually painted in 2021 by bereaved family members.
