Fire fighting I am responding to a big explosion BekenhamWith thick plums of smoke from miles away.
Ten fire engines and 70 firefighters were called for a fire in a building next to it. Odone cinema Bekenham on High Street.
Drivers are urged to avoid the area as the nearby roads are affected by major disruption during the crowd time.
A spokes for London Fire Brigade ,
“Firefighting is working hard to stop the spread of fire in nearby buildings including a cinema. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. The fire is producing a significant amount of smoke and we are currently advising people in the area to keep our windows and doors closed.
“The incident is causing major traffic disruption in Bekenham and we are asking people to avoid traveling through the region, while the incident continues, as the road is closing.”
LFB received the first out of 18 calls at 7.59 pm and the crew was sent from Bekenham, BromleyWoodside, forest Hill And for the surrounding fire station scene. They also brought a 32 -meter turnteable ladder from One Hill.
