Srinagar, 23 August: Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha interacted with members of the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in Srinagar today.

The Lieutenant Governor appreciated the efforts of the Indian Chamber of Commerce to promote the interests of trade, commerce and industry in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the meeting of ICC members in Srinagar would provide a platform for networking and cooperation for local businesses.

In his address, the Lieutenant Governor talked about investment opportunities, prevailing peace and economic change in Jammu and Kashmir over the years.
“Under the leadership of Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Jammu Kashmir is looking at the Industrial Revolution and Jammu and Kashmir has emerged as an attractive destination for investment.

The Lieutenant Governor said that we have achieved historical milestones in road, air and rail connectivity, which successfully increase the reach of industrial investment in every corner of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Lieutenant Governor appreciated the significant contribution of the Indian Chamber of Commerce in the policy advocacy, partnership with the global trade community and discharging their responsibility of connecting investors, regulation of a business-friendly environment and increasing India’s competition in the global market.

He said that the role of the Indian Chamber of Commerce is one of the important pillars of our strong economy, which is very important in India’s historical and transformative journey towards Vikas India in 2047.
