LG Sinha increases pre-Gatia relief under security related expenditure (SRE)

Srinagar, May 17: In a major judgment, Lieutenant Governor Mr. Manoj Sinha has increased the pre–graitia relief under the expenditure on security related (SRE) in relation to the death/disability/injury of citizens and government employees due to any other form of violence or civil ruckus.

This growth is above and above the central scheme to assist the citizens of terrorist violence, under which Rs. 5 lakhs are paid for death and permanent disability.

In the case of the death of a citizen, East-Gratia has been increased from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 2.5 lakh, which is two and a half times the increase (250% increase). In the case of permanent disability due to violence or civic uproar, East-Gratia has been increased by Rs. 75,000.

In the case of the death of ex-servicemen (police), East-Gratia has increased by 200%, which has increased from the current of Rs 2 lakh to Rs 4 lakh. In the case of permanent disability for pre-policemen, East-Gatia to Rs. 75,000. 1.5 lakhs.

Currently, in the case of the death of a magistrate on duty, the current east-Gatia is Rs 2 lakh. It is Rs. 5 lakhs by Lieutenant Governor. In case of permanent disability of the magistrate while on duty, the pre-Gratia will be Rs 5 lakh.

Under the SRE scheme, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has also approved East-Gratia for village defense guards. In the case of VDG’s death, East-Gatia was Rs 1 lakh to Rs. Has been extended from In terms of 2.5 lakhs and permanent disability, the pre-Gratia will be Rs 5 lakh.

In the case of the death of a government employee while on duty due to violence, East-Gratia has been increased by 500% and has been increased from the current Rs. 1 lakh to Rs 5 lakh. In the case of permanent disability, pre-Gatia was Rs. Has been extended from 75,000 to Rs. 5 lakhs.

The Lieutenant Governor paid tribute to those who sacrificed the highest sacrifice in the service of the nation. He said, India has been subjected to cross -border terrorism for several decades, but “Operation Sindor” has drawn a new red line, which marks a shift for direct action.

“Pakistan will have to pay a very heavy price for any future misunderstanding. Our response will be seen and tremendous. Also, we are focusing on the good of the people who play a highly effective role in ensuring internal security and overall development of the Jammu and Kashmir Union region.

It is my commitment to ensure that the martyred citizens, former policemen, VDGs and government employees live a life of rest and dignity, ”the Lieutenant Governor further said.
