Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has allegedly worked for three government employees for terrorist groups Lashkar-e-Taiba (Late) and Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM).
The accused have been identified as Malik Ishfaq Naseer, who were working as a police constable; Ajaz Ahmed is working as a teacher in the school education department; Sources said that Wasim Ahmed Khan, a junior assistant at Government Medical College, Srinagar, said.
Since assuming office in August 2020, Manoj Sinha has given priority to weakening the infrastructure of terrorism by targeting both active terrorists and their support networks, including overground workers (OGWs) and embedded sympathy in government institutions. Sinha has ensured aggressive counter-terrarator operation, security forces have neutralized hundreds of terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir between 2020 and 2024 and ended over 70 OGW/terrorist colleagues from government jobs under Article 311 (2) (C) of the Indian Constitution.
This disastrous Pahalgam comes a month after the terrorist attack, where terrorists killed 26 citizens, mostly tourists in the Bairsran valley of Pahgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
Earlier on 31 May, the special cell of the Delhi Police arrested two people to the two brothers to supply the Indian SIM card to the Pakistan Intelligence Operators (PIOS).
According to the police, the arrested persons were Hasin and Qasim, both were residents of Rajasthan.
According to officials, the accused, Hasin, visited Pakistan about 15 years ago as his relatives lived there. Currently, he has been in touch with ISI officials for about 4-5 years. In August 2024, he sent the SIM card to Pakistan through Qasim. One of the SIM card is named after him, and was used by Pio.
During interrogation, it was discovered that Hasin sent pictures of sensitive army establishments to the PIO and received money in return. Officials said they also provided OTP with the ability to activate WhatsApp in Pakistan.
Police said his ISI handler also helped him get a Pakistani visa for his younger brother Qasim, his brother -in -law and sister, when he went to Pakistan in August 2024. (AI)
