Lava O2 debuts in India as latest entry-level smartphone: Check price

Lava O2 was launched in India on Friday (March 22) as the latest budget product from Lava International. The new phone is powered by Unisoc T616 SoC and comes with 8GB RAM. Lava O2 features an HD+ display with 90Hz refresh rate and has a dual rear camera unit guided by a 50-megapixel primary sensor. It comes with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. The Lava O2 includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and supports face unlock functionality.

Lava O2 Price, Availability in India

The price of Lava O2 is put rupee. 8,499 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model. As an introductory offer, Lava is offering the phone at Rs. 500 discount. It will be available on Amazon and Lava e-store starting March 27 at 12:00 noon (IST) in Imperial Green, Majestic Purple and Royal Gold color options.

Lava O2 Specifications

The dual-SIM (Nano) Lava O2 runs Android 13 and has a 6.5-inch HD+ (720×1,600 pixels) display with a pixel density of 269ppi and a refresh rate of 90Hz. There is a punch-hole cutout in the center of the display. It runs on octa-core Unisoc T616 SoC and is paired with 8GB RAM. The onboard memory can be expanded up to 16GB and unused storage space increased through the virtual RAM feature.

Lava O2 features an AI-powered 50-megapixel dual rear camera unit with LED flash. On the front, it has an 8-megapixel camera sensor with screen flash.

Lava O2 comes with 128GB of internal UFS 2.2 storage, expandable up to 512GB via microSD card. Connectivity options on the phone include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5, GPRS, OTG, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C port. It has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for authentication. It also supports face unlock feature. The phone comes with accelerometer, ambient light and proximity sensors.

Lava has equipped the new Lava O2 with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W charging. The battery is said to provide up to 38 hours of talk time and up to 500 hours of standby time on a single charge. Its dimensions are 165×76.1×8.7mm and its weight is 200 grams.
