Kolkata Knight Riders captain Shreyas Iyer has been fined Rs 12 lakh for maintaining a slow over-rate in the IPL against Rajasthan Royals. Jos Buttler scored an unbeaten 107 off 60 balls as KKR lost to Royals by two wickets here on Tuesday.

“As this is the first time this season that his team has violated the provisions of the IPL Code of Conduct regarding minimum over-rate violations, Iyer has been fined Rs 12 lakh,” the IPL said in a release.

This was Royals’ sixth win in seven games, while KKR suffered their second defeat in six matches.
