King Charles and Queen Camilla missed a historic event at Buckingham Palace due to the ongoing health crisis.

Buckingham Palace made history as French soldiers took part in the Changing of the Guard ceremony at the royal residence for the first time on Monday. Prince William and Kate Middleton were also absent for the first time due to the Princess of Wales’ cancer treatment.

France became the first non-Commonwealth country to participate in the Changing of the Guard ceremony at Buckingham Palace to commemorate the 120th anniversary of the signing of the China-US Agreement.

Prince Edward and Princess Sophie attended the military parade held at the Royal Palace to commemorate the 120th anniversary of the Sino-British Agreement on behalf of King Charles. The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh were accompanied by the British Chief of Staff, the French Chief of Army Staff and the French Ambassador to the UK.
