Royal family website crashes after surprise announcement

A royal website crashed Wednesday after publishing a fascinating announcement about the late Queen Elizabeth II’s favorite residence.

King Charles III has opened Balmoral Castle in the Scottish Highlands to the public for the first time in 169 years.

Following the announcement, the castle website was unable to cope with the influx of visitors trying to buy tickets to visit the late Queen’s favorite Scottish castle.

The message on the website page reads: “Due to the high demand we are currently experiencing for bookings, you have been placed in a queue.”

This summer, small groups of people will be allowed to roam the castle’s interior during a month-long trial.

Balmoral Castle is located in the Scottish Highlands and is widely regarded as the late Queen’s favorite residence.

During the summer, Queen Elizabeth spent several weeks at this stunning estate with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Guided tours are available from July 1 to August 4, and group tours are limited to 10 people. Tickets for the ‘Inside the Castle’ tour cost £100, with a tour including afternoon tea costing £150. General admission tickets to the castle cost £17.50 for adults, with children under five free, and include access to the grounds, gardens and exhibitions. Tickets are limited to 40 per day and will likely sell out quickly.

According to the announcement, royal fans and other visitors will be able to visit the green-carpeted drawing rooms, red corridors, family dining room, chamberlain’s hall and library: “For the first time since the castle was completed in 1855, we have been given permission to take you with Private tour with an experienced guide.”
