King Charles teases Queen Camilla with joke

King Charles III, who is reportedly beating cancer with the help of his medical team and wife Queen Camilla, cracked a joke during a walk in Windsor on Easter Sunday.

The 75-year-old made his first public appearance since being diagnosed with cancer on Sunday, when he attended a service at St George’s Chapel with the Queen.

In one of his most significant public appearances, the Queen shook hands and spoke to those gathered at the castle, telling them: “It’s so brave of you to stand out in the cold.”

As the king left the crowd where he had been greeting well-wishers, a woman holding flats said: “Your Majesty, Camilla is now 17 years old and my King Charles spaniel.”

King Charles was reportedly in such good spirits that he turned to the woman in the crowd and joked: “I want to buy a new one too.” The monarch’s words appeared to be poking fun at his unexpected wife Camilla, who was accompanying him.

The King delighted fans with a brave look as he conveyed the message to his loved ones that he was winning his battle with cancer.
