Kochi, Kerala:

A 67-year-old man allegedly killed his daughter-in-law and then hanged himself at their residence in Vadakkekara on Thursday, police said.

Sebastian, a resident of Vadakkara, allegedly slit the throat of Sanu (34) after an argument.

Police said the incident occurred in the afternoon when no one else was home.

The incident came to light when the injured woman ran out of her home to seek help.

Later, the police arrived at the scene and found Sebastian hanging in his room.

According to preliminary investigations, relatives and neighbors told police that Sanu and Sebastian used to quarrel frequently.

Her husband, Sino, was at work when the incident occurred.
