Kelly Clarkson’s ex-husband Brandon Blackstock is fighting back against the musician’s latest lawsuit.
On Monday, Blackstock responded to the former American Idol winner’s latest lawsuit, in which she claims she deserves more than the $2.6 million awarded by California’s labor commissioner.

The filing said the November 2023 ruling was “binding on Clarkson” because she did not “file a notice of appeal within 10 days of the ruling.”

The document further adds that “any alleged illegal purchases” made through an “unlicensed talent agency” serving as the TV personality were paid in part or in full to Clarkson and Blackstock’s community properties.
The filing also reads that Clarkson’s “complaint fails to state facts sufficient to constitute a cause of action against Starstruck,” calling it a “bargaining failure.”
