Keith Urban shares that Nicole Kidman’s presence at concerts makes him ‘furious’

Keith Urban still feels thrilled to be in the presence of his lovely wife, Nicole Kidman.

“It turns me on a little bit more,” he told People magazine about his wife’s appearance at his show, a day after the couple’s stunning appearance at the 2024 Met Gala. “I try to impress him.”

The couple have two children, Sunday, 15, and Faith, 13. They will celebrate their 18th wedding anniversary next month. Keith Urban still seeks validation from his loved ones, including his late father Bob Urban, who died in December 2015.

“I think I’m still trying to make my dad proud, and I think my dad was proud years ago,” says Urban, 56. “My dad is also not alive anymore and I still feel like I’m trying to get his approval. That’s why some things remain part of my fire.

Urban recently announced a 10-show Las Vegas residency, titled High, BlueLive Theater in Fontainebleau will bring that fire to the city this autumn.

Urban is no stranger to gambling hotspots, having hosted residency programs at Caesars Palace and Planet Hollywood. However, he said that he would approach “High” in a different way than his previous performances.

“The only challenge I find in Vegas is obviously you have a bigger mix of people. You have some die-hard fans, you have some people who know some of your songs, but you always have people who don’t know anything about me, and they’re just curious,” he said. “I try to get everyone involved and engaged as quickly as possible.”
