Kawasaki Ninja 500 previewed ahead of official launch, check out noteworthy features

Kawasaki India is currently busy preparing for the launch of the Ninja 500, which is scheduled to be launched in March 2024. However, the company is yet to share undisclosed information about the product such as exact launch date, price range, etc.

This sports motorcycle was officially unveiled at the global auto show EICMA last year. Fans have been anxiously awaiting the car’s launch ever since.

Kawasaki Ninja 500 Design

The bike will reportedly replace the tech-heavy Ninja 400 and feature a lightweight trellis frame. It will carry some of the signature styling cues of the aforementioned models and boast a similar construction to the model showcased at EICMA 2023.

Engine and performance

The upcoming Ninja 500 will use a 451cc parallel twin-cylinder engine. This will produce a maximum power of 45 BHP at 9,000 rpm and 42.6 Nm at 6,000 rpm. For those who don’t know, this is the same unit that powers the Eliminator 500. The brand informs that the bike will have more torque and a lower redline compared to the Ninja 400.

In terms of other specifications, the 500cc class motorcycle will be equipped with a telescopic fork at the front, while the rear will have a single shock absorber treatment.

Notable features

In the braking department, customers will get disc brakes at both ends. Other notable features include Bluetooth connectivity, keyless ignition system, a powerful horn, USB-C charging port, and an LCD instrument console that will provide important information related to the bike.
