The Princess of Wales has apologized “for any confusion caused” after admitting she “edited” a controversial Mother’s Day photo of her and her children.
In a statement released this morning, KateThe 42-year-old said: “Like many amateur photographers, I occasionally try my hand at editing.
“I would like to apologize for any confusion caused by the family photos we shared yesterday.
“I hope every Mother’s Day you celebrate is a very happy one. C.”
Kensington Palace said it would not republish the original, unedited photos.

“The monarchy has always tried to manipulate and manage its own image, but it would be disgraceful if they tried to fake photos to suppress online conspiracy theories.”
