New Delhi:

Where is Kate Middleton? This question has dominated social media for the past two weeks, but there is currently no clear answer. However, British media seems to have an answer as they released new photos of the Princess of Wales at a farmers market.

The photo and video published by British tabloid The Sun show a smiling Kate walking through the market in Windsor with her husband, Prince William. “It’s great to meet you Kate,” The Sun said on Monday night, alongside a photo of Kate wearing leggings and a black top.

“I don’t feel like they’re hiding their identity. But they don’t quite know how people are going to react because they’ve been out there more and more and I feel like they’re just trying to get in there quickly,” said Nelson Schill, who shot the video Watt told The Sun.

“Kate looked happy and relaxed. They looked happy to be going to the shop and socializing with friends. Kate looked relieved, like the trip to the shop was a success. It felt very natural,” he said.

Another newspaper, the Daily Mail, praised the photo as “a photo that will silence conspiracy theorists” and said it “will reassure fans that she is recovering well from abdominal surgery”.

The new visual comes just a week after Buckingham Palace officially released an edited photo of Kate, sparking an uproar. Multiple news organizations later issued takedown orders for the image after they claimed it had been morphed.

Kate Middleton, 42, has not been seen in public since undergoing abdominal surgery on January 16 for a non-cancerous but unspecified condition.

Apart from a few grainy photos, she has not been seen since, and social media has been awash with speculation about her health in recent weeks, sparking global headlines and rumors.

Far from quelling concerns about her health, the edited photo released by Kensington Palace fueled rumors and media outlets scrambling to remove the image.

Kate apologized but also faced criticism from a usually supportive media.

The new video from the farmers market also sparked a debate on social media, with eagle-eyed viewers asking the outlet several questions. Some say that in an age when every phone has a 4k or HD camera, the photo looks too grainy.

Other conspiracy theorists also believe that the woman who was snatched was not Kate Middleton, but a body double.
