Kate Middleton draws strength from a brave young cancer fighter.

For those unfamiliar, a young schoolgirl who met the Princess of Wales while she was undergoing cancer treatment encouraged the Duchess to “fight cancer like I did.”

Eight-year-old Mila Sneddon met the Duchess in 2021 after her photo appeared in Kate’s lockdown photography campaign.

According to the Daily Mail, Sneddon, who is now in remission, urged the princess: “You have to be brave because I was brave and you will fight it like I did.”

Sneddon, from Stenhousemuir, Scotland, met the future queen after including her photos in Kate’s photography project during the coronavirus pandemic.

After the photo was selected for inclusion in the Hold Still exhibition and book of 100 photos, Kate and Sneddon spoke on the phone.

They met in May 2021, when Sneddon and her family were invited to the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh.

On Friday, on the second anniversary of Sneddon being in remission, Kate announced that she was undergoing “preventive chemotherapy.”
