Talking to reporters here, he said he was confident that everything would be fine and the national leadership would take a decision that would satisfy the JD(S).

JD(S) state president HD Kumaraswamy on Monday said the JD(S) was unhappy with the seat distribution issue and he believed the regional parties would get three to four seats, but there were reports that the saffron party Only two seats may be given up.

The former chief minister also said that his party leaders have asked him to convey to the BJP leadership the need to treat the JD(S) with “respect” and make them aware of its strength in at least 18 Lok Sabha segments.

The JD(S) joined the NDA in September last year and formed an electoral alliance with the BJP.
