John Legend stresses the importance of taking some time for yourself away from the chaos of family life.

The couple are parents to Luna Simone, 7, Miles Theodore, 5, Esti Maxine, 1, and Wren Alexander Stephens, 9 months.

“Kris and I committed to a one-night staycation a month away from the kids,” shared My everything singer.

Noting that one must make a conscious effort to take some time to reset and reflect, Legend explains the dilemma of time slowly passing by because “you always have something to do. You always have work to do.”

“So I think you have to be intentional about enjoying alone time or couple time so that you can focus on your mental health, your relationship, etc. together,” he shared. “I think it’s important.”
