The former England rugby player is one of them 19 famous faces taking part in the latest series of the award-winning BBC Deception game show with contestants including Stephen Fry, Jonathan Ross, Alan Carr and Celia Imrie.
Marler said he was grateful that his rugby career gave him the platform to be invited onto a TV programme, but said he was often asked if he was famous enough.
“The question I get most is ‘How did you get on that show?’ Are there a lot of celebrities there?” he said.

Marler, who won 95 England caps during his career and won the Six Nations three times, said he had received a “fantastic response” from the public and had enjoyed watching the show after it was filmed in the spring.

“I’ve seen 18 other viewpoints and conversations that are going on behind my back,” he said.
Marler is a “loyal” player – meaning he is unaware of the identity of the “traitors” – and has escaped any suspicion in the heated roundtable discussions so far.
