Joe Biden tells Zelenskyy he's 'confident' in U.S. war aid resumption

“I will work to provide them with the ammunition they need,” he said (File)

Washington:

President Joe Biden told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Saturday that he was “confident” that Congress would extend war aid, but added that without U.S. help, Kyiv could lose to Russian advances More territory.

“I spoke with Zelensky this afternoon to let him know I was confident we could get the money,” Biden told reporters after attending a church event in Delaware.

He said it would be “ridiculous” and “unethical” for U.S. lawmakers not to approve new funding for military aid to Kyiv, adding: “I will work to provide them with the ammunition they need.”
