Jammu, August 23: In a joint operation, the Border Security Force (BSF) and the Drug Control Bureau (NCB) have captured an narco smuggler from Miran Sahib area of Jammu district in Jammu and Kashmir.
Security forces have also recovered heroin worth Rs 50 lakh from Narco smuggler during joint operation.
The operation was conducted on 22 August and was performed after obtaining specific intelligence provided by BSF Jammu.
BSF Jammu said, “On 22 August 2025, based on the specific intelligence provided by BSF Jammu, a joint search operation was started by #BSF Jammu and #NCB Jammu, during which a narco smuggler was arrested and heroin was recovered from Miran 50 million.
Recently, in a joint operation, the Border Security Force (BSF) seized the narcotics, which was a price of more than Rs 75 crore in the illegal market and arrested eight persons while busting an international racket.
A special joint operation performed on August 21 was followed, worked on specific intelligence developed by BSF and carefully planned and launched in a close coordination with the products and narcotics departments of the drug control (NCB) isal unit and Mizoram.
The joint team successfully intercepted four suspected vehicles at the Isal and Sailing villages, between the Isol and Sailing villages, between the Isol and Sailing villages.
BSF said in a statement, “A total of eight persons were caught with four vehicles.”
During the search, the Border Guarding Force stated that there are three plastic bags with fifty packets, each of which weighs about one kilogram, filled with about 10,000 pink colored tablets, which is suspected to be Mathemfetamine (Yaba).
“The total weight was found to be around 50 kg, there was an amount of about 5,00,000 bullets. In addition, three soap cases with 36 grams of heroin were also recovered. The joint value of the seized narcotics was evaluated to more than Rs 75 crore in the illegal market,” it has been said.
