Ranchi:
Jharkhand MP Amba Prasad was questioned for more than six hours yesterday in connection with the money laundering case, but hours before that she released her debut music video in honor of the state’s largest tribe One of the festivals.
Last night, Ms. Prasad launched her music video “Jiya Harshaye” at a press conference in Ranchi, ahead of Salhoor, the spring festival celebrated in Jharkhand, marking the beginning of the new year.
“This is a small initiative. I have loved music and dance since my childhood and we made this on Sarhul,” said Ms. Prasad, who sang and danced in the video dedicated to nature.
Best wishes and congratulations to everyone on Jai Johar and Sarhul festival.

What followed was an intense cross-examination at the Enforcement Directorate’s office, which lasted until 9 p.m. As she left, she told reporters that most of the questions they asked her were about the electronic devices confiscated from her and asked her to appear in court again on Tuesday.
Her father, former minister Yogendra Sao, was questioned by the agency on April 3 and 4 in connection with the extortion and land encroachment case.
Ahead of her visit to the ED office on Monday, the 36-year-old MLA shared her love for music and dance with reporters and spoke at length about protecting her culture.
She said the idea of conveying a message through music came to her one day while she was humming. The Barkagaon MLA said it took her just an hour to record the song, while shooting the video took around six hours.
“Music is a part of life and I participate whenever I get the chance. Music can calm people down and give us strength. It’s scientific and it can reduce mental stress,” she said.
Ms. Prasad also spoke about the emergency room summons and said it was not the first time she had faced challenges. “I have faced challenges since I was a child, but I believe truth will prevail in the end,” she said.
The ED raided the residence of Ms Prasad and her father in March to investigate alleged extortion, taxation, illegal sand mining and land acquisition. The agency claimed to have seized “unidentified cash of Rs 35 lakh, digital equipment, fake seals of offices, banks etc. and incriminating documents” and records related to illegal sand mining in Jharkhand.
