Jammu -Kashmir Bank introduces API based open banking services to corporates

Strengthening its digital capabilities to enable the ease of banking for businesses, Jammu and Kashmir Bank has revealed its open banking initiative for corporate customers across the country, Khyber Group of companies have become their first customer under this state-of-the-art platform.

Executive Director (ED) Sudhir Gupta today formally unveiled initiative in the presence of the Bank General Manager (Cross Sailing) Narjay Gupta, General Manager (Government) Syed Rais Maqbool and General Manager (Strategy and IT) Imtiaz Ahmed Bhat, DGMS and other senior officials.

Senior Khyber Group officer, President Manzoor Ahmed Mir, Chief (IT) Mohammad Ashraf Bhat, and CA Aaron Bashir along with Khyber Cements along with main finance and advertisements along with Kaiser Ahmed and Executive (IT) Shabir Ahmed were also present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Ed Sudhir Gupta said, “The introduction of open banking services for our corporate partners is another important milestone in the bank’s digital journey. It also marks the beginning of a new era where banking services are no longer limited within the branch walls, but are now originally embedded within the business processes of our partners.”

He said, “This milestone reflects digital changes, our commitment to financial automation, and actually creates a participant-centric ecosystem. We are happy to start this journey with the Khyber group, and are ready to enable many more partners to benefit from this technology-based financial solutions”, he said.

On this occasion, he also congratulated the bank’s IT team for making the success of the system possible along with the Khyber Group.

He further said, “Let it be the first of many such successful cooperation.”

In his comment on the occasion, GM Imtiaz Ahmed Bhat said, “This initiative not only strengthens our commitment to innovation and customer-centric solutions, but also empowers businesses to gain more efficiency and transparency in its financial functions.”

He said, “By rolling out API-powered solutions, the bank is leading itself to the forefront of open banking services, which enables trade-to-trade integration that aligns with the developed needs of the enterprise ecosystem”, he said.

Exposing its long -term close ties with the bank, senior officials of the Khyber Group appreciated the bank for their services and thanked the IT team for cordial and patient support during the integration of the system.
