In a bid to improve air travel and connectivity in Madhya Pradesh, the state is gearing up to launch direct flight services from Delhi to Jabalpur and from Mumbai to Jabalpur.
It is reported that the flight will start operations next month. Interested passengers can take direct flights on the above routes on March 1 and March 2 respectively. The service will be operated by SpiceJet, one of the largest low-cost airlines.
Meanwhile, the airline has also announced weekly flights to Jabalpur from Sardar Vallabhbhai International Airport in Ahmedabad. The flight will operate from March 2 at the Mumbai airport.

Confirming the news, Union Minister for Civil Aviation and Steel Shri Jyotiraditya M Scindia said, “I am happy that with the support of SpiceJet, Jabalpur will get more connectivity to Mumbai and Delhi.”
In addition, he said: “This will not only ensure an easy and time-saving travel experience for the people of Jabalpur, but will also increase trade, business and employment opportunities.” He also revealed that Jabalpur Airport will build a new terminal building at a cost of 412 crores.

The upcoming building will be equipped with a number of advanced facilities to provide passengers with a seamless travel experience. This move will improve the tourism map of the state and contribute significantly to economic growth.
