Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni is headed by Washington on Thursday to meet Donald Trump, it is expected that an individual attraction can help the aggressive US President cut a more favorable deal on tariffs of the European Union.
The far-flung Meloni-Tram is described as a “magnificent leader” and who shares many of his conservative views-to maintain a relationship with the mercury leader despite widespread disruption due to its tariff policies.
Nevertheless, he has criticized 20 percent of his duties on exports from the European Union as “wrong”, which he later suspended for 90 days.
Since Trump’s business began with war, Meloni has urged Brussels not to vengean, who is calling himself for a quiet head, castinging himself as a leader of the European Union to potentially de-size the struggle through his personal relationship with the US President.
His meeting with Trump in the White House does not come without risk, though.
Italian newspapers on Wednesday highlighted the possibility that Meloni could end in a trap similar to the White House meeting in February, in which Trump and his vice -president JD Vance along with Ukrainian leader Volodimir Zelanski surrounded their guests in front of reporters.
Meloni has been a staunch associate of Ukraine and Zelanski since the invasion of Russia in 2022, recently calls Moscow’s palm Sunday attack to “terrible and wiley” on Sumi city.
Meloni has accepted the weight of uncertainty on his quick journey, the only EU leader, to be invited to the opening of Trump in January.
“We know that we are undergoing a difficult period, let’s see how it goes in the coming hours. I do not feel any pressure, as you can imagine, for my next two days, let’s say,” he jokingly joked at an award ceremony for Italian accessories on Tuesday.
“Surely I know what I represent and I know what I am defending,” he said.

Meloni has stated that the target should end the so -called mutual duties on existing industrial products as part of the “zero for zero” formula, as floated by the European Commission earlier this month.

After Thursday’s meeting with Trump, Meloni will fly back to Rome on Friday to host JD Vance, with which he plans to a meeting.
Trump’s danger tariff may have a major impact on the world’s fourth largest exporter, which sends about 10 percent of its exports to the United States.
During his meeting, Meloni is also likely to discuss the demand for NATO colleagues to spend more on their demands along with Trump.
Trump wants the current target raised from two to five percent of the GDP (GDP), which is a huge demand for Italy filled with debt, which currently spends about 1.5 percent.
