Israeli forces on Monday blew up the home of a Palestinian accused of killing a British-Israeli woman and her two daughters in the occupied West Bank last year.
Palestinian witnesses told AFP that the apartment of Moaz al-Masry, who was killed by Israeli forces after the April 7 attack, was demolished in the early hours.
The Palestinian Red Crescent said its medics treated around 15 people after Israeli forces fired tear gas during an attack on the West Bank city of Nablus.
Masri and two other attackers are accused of shooting and killing Israeli settler Leah Dee and her daughters Maya and Lina as they drove near Hamra in the Jordan Valley.
After a manhunt, the attacker was killed in a military raid in Nablus in May.
A witness told AFP that troops raided the Al Mahfiya neighborhood of Nablus overnight and surrounded al-Masri’s house.
Israel regularly demolishes the homes of Palestinians accused of carrying out attacks, claiming such measures act as a deterrent, while critics say it amounts to collective punishment.
The Red Crescent told AFP it had evacuated a number of residents, including children, from the building that houses al-Masri’s apartment.
Violence broke out in the West Bank long before the war broke out between Hamas militants and Israel in the Gaza Strip on October 7.
According to the Palestinian Health Ministry in Ramallah, at least 420 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces and settlers in the West Bank since the war began.
The latest death was that of 16-year-old Mustafa Abu Shalbak, who the ministry said was shot dead by Israeli forces before dawn on Monday near Ramallah.
Israeli troops were fired upon during an attack on a house in the Amari refugee camp, residents said.
An AFP photographer saw troops leading two blindfolded Palestinians through the streets while multiple soldiers pointed their weapons at surrounding buildings.
The Israeli military had no immediate comment on the Amari attack or the Nablus demolition.
According to Israeli data, Palestinian militants have also launched multiple attacks against Israeli troops and civilians in Israel and the West Bank in recent months, killing at least 17 people.
Israel has occupied the West Bank since the 1967 Arab-Israeli war, including East Jerusalem, which it later unilaterally annexed.
Israeli settlements, which are illegal under international law, have grown for decades and are seen as a major obstacle to peace with the Palestinians.
