Natasha Bedingfield recently recalled being inspired by The Beatles and revealed the inspiration behind her 2004 hit unwritten.

The singer revealed that the song was originally meant to be a gift for her 14-year-old brother Joshua, as Bedingfield didn’t get the chance to give him a gift.

“We recorded it in Venice Beach. For this poem, I had the Beatles’ Indian period in mind. The gospel choir part is rooted in my childhood.”

The 42-year-old pop star is enjoying the success of chart-topping songs.
