A former White House aide revealed that former President Donald Trump was worried that the American public would reveal the truth about the events of January 6, 2021.

Cassidy Hutchinson, a member of President Trump’s administration, revealed the secret in an interview. MSNBC Jen Psaki on Monday. “I know when he’s getting nervous,” she asserts.

“I know Donald Trump must be nervous, if not extremely frightened, right now, because what’s happening is that he’s deploying his most loyal allies on Capitol Hill to try to discredit not just my testimony, but the entirety of January 6 day investigation. A whole,” noted.

“The facts are out there and he doesn’t want the facts to be there because he doesn’t want the American people to know what’s going on.”

She noted that Trump “wants the American people to believe a false narrative of what happened on January 6” during his campaign to take back the White House in 2024.

“We have to continue to talk about the truth because the facts are the facts and Donald Trump is trying to discredit those people with his deceit and lies,” she noted.

Donald Trump faces two criminal indictments for trying to overturn the 2020 election. He said in a recent statement that if re-elected, one of his top priorities would be “the release of the wrongfully imprisoned January 6 hostages.”

Earlier this month, Donald Trump called for the imprisonment of members of the House committee investigating the January 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol. He also recommended the prosecution of Cassidy Hutchinson, the committee’s star witness.

In response, former Rep. Liz Cheney accused Trump of spreading lies and trying to block the trial. Cheney emphasized that Trump is worried about the truth coming out, especially if key officials may testify against him.

Nearly 1,400 people have been charged in ongoing investigations, with nearly 490 facing charges related to assault or obstruction of law enforcement.
