An Iranian journalist who was stabbed outside his home in London has broken his silence following the attack.

On March 29, Iranian International Broadcasting Corporation reporter Pouria Zeraati was stabbed in the leg.

Speaking to ITV News on Friday after returning to work, the journalist said people were holding him down “very firmly” when he was stabbed.

Britain’s Metropolitan Police said a motive for the attack had not been established and that Zelati’s profession and recent threats against Iranian journalists based in the UK meant the investigation would be led by specialist counter-terrorism officers.

“I noticed they hadn’t taken anything… and that’s when I realized it had something to do with my job,” Mr. Zelati said.
